CRH (SLOVAKIA), A.S., ROHOŽNÍK – COMPLETE REMEDIATION OF A CEMENT SILO NO. 3 WITHIN THE 27.01 OBJECT OF ROHOŽNÍK PLANT

On 16 April 2018, a complete remediation of a cement silo No. 3 of CRH (Slovakia), a.s., the Rohožník plant, was successfully completed.

The following activities were carried out as part of the remediation:

• Removal of parts of damaged and degraded concrete on the outer surface of the silo;
• High-pressure cleaning of the outer surface of the silo by water jet;
• Repair of the damaged and exposed reinforcement;
• Filling of cracks;
• Reprofiling of concrete at the exterior surface of the silo;
• Injection-filling of working joints of the silo;
• Equalization of the outer surface of the silo;
• Full-area application of a corrosion inhibitor;
• Painting of the outer surface of the silo.
