ŽILINSKÁ TEPLÁRENSKÁ, A.S. – GENERAL OVERHAUL OF PIPELINE BRIDGES

At the end of the year 2014, we carried out a general overhaul of pipeline bridges in ŽT for a general work contractor. The main objective was to minimize the heat loss of transported products by means of re-insulating the pipelines and increasing efficiency of heat production with a high return on investment. And finally, the emphasis was placed on the life extension of structure itself by redesigning the pipeline and local rehabilitation of corrosion protection on the structure. Relabeling the pipes according to the type of conveyed media and its operating parameters in compliance with current legislation was obviously also necessary.
