ŽILINSKÁ TEPLÁRENSKÁ, A.S. – REPAIR OF 192M HIGH CHIMNEY

We are carrying out the 1^st stage of modernization of a 192m high reinforced concrete chimney in Žilina heating plant. We are mounting a stainless confusor on the chimney which increases an output speed of the flue gases in the chimney outfalls as well as eliminates the so-called dawnwash effect at the top part of the chimney. In order to ensure OSH and safe movement on the chimney and under it, the original dysfunctional cast iron chimney chase cover was also removed and a comprehensive refurbishment of ascent ladders was done as well as mounting a MKL fall arrest system from Germany.
