SLOVENSKÉ ELEKTRÁRNE, A.S., ENO PLANT – REPAIR OF DESULFURIZATION CHIMNEY COMPLETED

Today, we have successfully completed and handed over an overhaul of 150m high desulfurization chimney. Repair works took place during a continuous shutdown of the chimney and due to the scope of repairs, the works were carried out nonstop. During the shutdown, we have managed to remove the inner lining in an inlet zone, to repair the inner reinforced concrete and to fit a so-called inlet onion into the chimney which we have connected to three current inlets and condensate drainage system. A 316 Ti stainless steel plate with a special baked acid-resistant layer was used as the main material for liner casing.
