MONDI SCP, A.S., RUŽOMBEROK – REMEDYING EMERGENCY DEFECTS ON THE +120 M HIGH CHIMNEY

The necessary repairs of all parts of the chimney cannot be completed within one year. The plan of repairs is divided into stages according to specific steps. The works will be performed without the need for building a substitute chimney. In the first step, supporting structure on the platform will be installed, surface defects on the shaft will be remedied, statically significant cracks will be repaired, loading joints will be rehabilitated and finally critical sections on the chimney shaft will be statically reinforced – by installing 10 joint rings.
