KOSIT A.S., KOŠICE – REPAIR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE Z-SHAPED BRICK CHIMNEY IN INCINERATION HOUSE

Both chimney platforms in the incineration house KOSIT, a.s., Košice were rehabilitated and the lower one also supported by steel brackets at the turn of August and September 2011. The outer shaft repairs also included reinforcement by installing rings in order to eliminate other statically significant cracks. The cracks identified before the repair were transformed into dilatation joints and filled with permanently elastic sealants.
