KNAUF INSULATION S.R.O., NOVÁ BAŇA – 1ST STAGE OF +130 M REINFORCED CONCRETE CHIMNEY RECONSTRUCTION

In December 2016 we have successfully completed a first stage of a 130 m high reinforced concrete monolithic chimney reconstruction in KNAUF Insulation, s.r.o., Nová Baňa. The project was delivered in advance compared to original plan.

List of works carried out in the first stage:

• Reconstruction of the chimney upper part from +130 m to +126 m;
• Reinforcement of the chimney upper part by a system of MONOSTRAND supporting pre-stress elements;
• Removing the original confusor and installing a new load-bearing grate of the liner including a new confusor and chimney cap using a helicopter;
• Removing parts of inner lining according to static plan and rehabilitation of the remaining inner lining;

Mounting of the part of inner stainless liner and its attachment to the remaining part of chimney inner lining.
