DUSLO, A.S., ŠAĽA –RECONSTRUCTION WORKS STARTED ON THE +240M HIGH HEATING PLANT CHIMNEY

A complete reconstruction of a +240m high chimney in Duslo, a.s., Šaľa heating plant started on 27^th July 2011. It included a local repair of stainless ventilation liner sealants as well as the rehabilitation of anticorrosive coatings on anti-vibration spacers. A local reconstruction on the full height of the chimney shaft followed by ensuring a protective coating on the shaft, as well as steel liner coatings and rehabilitation of Aircraft marking took place on the outer part of the chimney. Whole reconstruction was made harder due to the presence of transmitters and antennas of an unnamed telephone operator which were installed all around the perimeter of the chimney and in some places they were installed up to three meters from the shaft.
